Dr. Gino Caspari

Dr. Gino Caspari is an archaeologist, entrepreneur, and explorer. His work spans topics from AI in archaeology to prehistoric human-environmental interactions and innovations in remote sensing.

Dr. Caspari is an elected member of the Swiss Young Academy and has received several fellowships from the Swiss National Science Foundation, as well as a Fulbright scholarship. His scientific projects have so far been supported by over two million dollars in research funding.

With over a decade leading expeditions in diverse marginal environments, Dr. Caspari has obtained a PhD focusing on archaeological remote sensing in arid environments, an MA in East Asian Studies from Columbia University, and an MBA.

In 2022, he became the CEO of GeoInsight, a Swiss startup in the geospatial data science sector. As the founder of the Foundation for ArchaeoExploration, he supports archaeological field research and science communication.
